The Beaumont Singers
The Beaumont Singers take their name from the house where they rehearse. They
are a chamber choir and sing a wide repertoire, both sacred and secular, from
the 16th to the 20th century. Recent concerts include: Bach’s St. John Passion
with Gareth Malone as the Evangelist (March 2007); Brahms, Elgar and Holst songs
(June 2007); Purcell’s Queen Mary Funeral Music and Byrd’s Liturgy for All Souls
and Mass for Five Voices with the King’s Trumpeters directed by Crispian
Steele-Perkins (November 2007); a sell-out Bach’s St. Matthew Passion, with
Gareth Malone as the Evangelist (March 2008); the Monteverdi Vespers with period
instruments (November 2008); Haydn’s The Creation with Gareth Malone (March
2009); a programme of songs on the theme of Love (June 2009); music from
Purcell, Gounod and Britten inspired by St. Cecilia (November 2009); a
